The tap water has been fine to drink at the resort.
There are whistling frogs at night which was something we were not expecting, so be prepared to hear a sound slightly louder than crickets as soon as it goes dark! As for travelling whilst pregnant, it is a highly recommended destination as staff at the hotel and public in general are very considerate towards pregnant women, and there is little to worry about in terms of food and drink. The beach is beautiful, with soft powdery sand, the sea is good although parts in shallow water have a few rocks, and when the sea is rough it drags in a fair few shells and stones from the sea bed making walking in shallow water uncomfortable. We immediately were greeted by friendly staff who always have a smile on their face and are happy to help no matter what. It is almost next door to the house, with only Daphne's restaurant separating the two hotels. We initially wanted to stay at 'the house' in Barbados but it was fully booked, and this was a sister hotel option we were offered. My husband and I came here for a babymoon for some rest and relaxation prior to having our first child, and we definitely recommend the resort.
